A Snapshot of Your Day Join us at an exciting time as we ramp up a brand-new Transformer Service Center in Linz. We are looking for a Specialist (m/f/d) to lead the digitalization strategy, define and implement process excellence, and lay the foundation for the use of AI, machine learning, and digital twin technologies. In this key role, you’ll shape how digital tools, data, and innovation drive operational excellence from day one.
What You’ll Do
* Drive the digital setup (introduction of SAP/HANA) and process mapping during the ramp-up phase of the Transformer Service Center and establish interfaces to ensure machine connectivity and enable process integration
* Identify and evaluate demand, and implement digital solutions that establish and improve data collection (e.g., Document management system), process transparency (Planning and execution tools), quality, and efficiency on the shop floor (such as RTLS) as well as at the functional level
* Collaborate with multi-functional teams (engineering, IT, operations, and quality) to deliver scalable and harmonious digital transformation for the factory after the operation has started. Act as the digitalization focal point for the Transformer Service Center and work effectively with global digital transformation teams
* Identify critical metrics and set up data pipelines and dashboards to supervise and boost operational performance, supporting the factory management on the way to the Connected Factory
* Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and promote a culture of innovation and excellence
* Lead initiatives that integrate AI, machine learning, and digital twin concepts into operations and predictive maintenance strategies
What You Bring
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or relevant experience
* Validated experience of 3–5 years in digital transformation, operational excellence, or smart manufacturing
* Proven track record of implementing process improvements and deploying digital tools in production or service environments
* Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, with hands-on experience in data analytics, model development, or digital twins being a plus
* Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or low-code platforms; familiarity with ERP/MES systems and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous
* Excellent communication and project leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-functional and multicultural teams; proficient in English and German

Siemens Energy is proud to be recognized as a top employer. The minimum salary for this position (full-time, 38.5 h/week) is listed in the Austrian collective agreement; higher compensation is possible based on experience and qualifications. Minimum: €52,853.78 gross/year.
