Web Content Strategist | Senior (all genders). Start immediately. Total hours available full‑time or part‑time from 30 h. Location: Salzburg or Vienna.
As a Web Content Strategist at pixelart you develop content concepts for websites and digital platforms that are strategically sound, user‑centered and effective. You combine web know‑how, editorial skills, SEO and GEO expertise with a good understanding of brands, target groups and digital touchpoints. You think content through from concept to go‑live: from page structure, messaging and copy to content guidelines and quality assurance. Together with concept, UX, design, development, project management and marketing you ensure that digital experiences are clear, relevant, search‑optimised and cleanly implemented in the CMS. You use AI tools and automation thoughtfully to make research, structuring, content production and optimisation more efficient and future‑ready.
Responsibilities
* Develop content strategies for websites, platforms and digital touchpoints, focusing on information architecture, page logic, content hierarchies and messaging.
* Translate brand strategy, target‑group needs and business goals into clear website structures, relevant content and effective digital user experiences.
* Conceptualise, create and optimise website content, landing pages, modules and content components along user journeys, search intent and performance goals.
* Develop content guidelines, tonalities and messaging principles for digital brand experiences.
* Conduct content audits and derive concrete optimisations based on relevance, quality, structure, discoverability and user behaviour.
* Apply and further develop SEO and GEO approaches to make content discoverable and relevant for traditional search and AI‑supported search systems.
* Use AI tools and automation to optimise research, structuring, content production and quality assurance.
* Support the maintenance, implementation and quality assurance of content in the CMS, including checks before go‑live.
* Brainstorm with clients and internal teams, and present and explain content concepts, structures and content decisions.
Qualifications
* At least 5 years of experience in an agency, editorial, content strategy or comparable role in a digital environment, at senior level.
* Proven references in developing content concepts for websites, platforms or digital touchpoints.
* Very good understanding of information architecture, user guidance, content structures and digital platforms.
* Experience in conceptualising, creating and optimising website content, landing pages, modules or digital content formats.
* Confident handling of SEO, search intent, content logic and performance contexts, with an interest in GEO and AI‑supported search.
* Very good sense for brands, target groups, user needs, tonality and digital communication.
* Experience with CMS systems and an understanding of how content is structured, maintained and implemented cleanly on the web.
* Confident and thoughtful use of AI tools, combined with an interest in making content processes more efficient and quality‑oriented.
* Analytical thinking and the ability to derive content decisions from data, user behaviour, search intent and project goals.
* Ability to clearly explain content concepts, structures and content, present them convincingly and further develop them in sparring with clients and internal teams.
* Native‑level German and very good English skills.
Salary & Benefits
We offer an annual salary starting at EUR 56,000 gross (incl. holiday pay and Christmas bonus) on a full‑time basis. Your actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience.
