The impact you’ll make
At Lam, as a Financial Analyst, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. You’re in a high‑visibility role working with internal business partners at all levels and across functions, on challenging and rewarding projects that help shape Lam's financial strategies and decisions for the future.
What You’ll Do
Perform reporting, analysis, forecasting, and closing activities related to operating expenses and gross margin.
Analyse actual system gross margin (OCOGS, I&W) and prepare detailed variance analyses versus forecasts, including commentary for Product line forecasts.
Partner closely with Operations to develop machine‑level gross margin forecasts for regular forecast submissions.
Support revenue recognition by gathering relevant data and acting as a subject‑matter expert on revenue recognition and I&W policies.
Contribute to finance projects led by corporate divisions.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with company standards and deadlines.
Monitor project status reports from project managers.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial predictability.
Track and forecast capital investments and depreciation related to fixed assets.
Monitor and forecast headcount, ensuring alignment with hiring plans.
Manage government grants for R&D projects, including compliance with reporting requirements and support of external audits.
Provide ad hoc analysis and business support in R&D, gross margin, and inventory areas.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; a Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
Initial professional experience in finance.
Solid knowledge of SAP (CO and FI modules).
Advanced proficiency in English.
Strong MS Office skills.
Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
CMA or CIMA certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical and presentation skills.

What We’re Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
