Job Description
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Vienna.
This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic commissions and high‑profile projects in a market‑leading client base.
Responsibilities
* Manage and lead complex projects and programmes as the key client interface
* Develop working relationships, problem‑solve and drive projects to successful completion
* Manage the design process to achieve the client’s requirements and manage expectations
* Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, cost‑saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
* Prepare and present formal project progress and other reports
* Manage and coordinate a team, contractors and designers
* Manage project safety and environmental requirements
* Manage project timelines, risks and reporting
* Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep the budget on track
* Engage with marketing and business‑development initiatives
* Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
* Draft contract documents in strict accordance with approved contract templates
* Work closely with the project team to ensure effective and timely document processing and contract management
Qualifications
* Degree in Construction Management or a related field
* 7–10 years of project management experience, preferably in a Data Centre or similar technical environment
* Technical understanding of Data Centre infrastructure – HVAC, electrical, generators, fire, security and BMS
* Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction
* Leadership experience
* Comprehensive understanding of the full project life cycle from inception to post‑project review
* Excellent knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques
* Ability to thrive in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment
* Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
* Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to clients
* Availability for on‑site work
Additional Information
The minimum collective‑agreement salary (as per the Austrian Collective Agreement) for this position is €63,000 gross per year. A premium will be awarded based on expertise and professional experience.
