Senior Legal Counsel - Infra Legal Desk(m/w/d)
Key Responsibilities
As part of our dynamic legal team, you will play a key role in structuring and executing complex financing transactions. Your main responsibilities include:
* Providing legal advice on international financing, project development development and M&A transactions, as well as debt restructurings
* Independently managing the legal aspects of structured financings, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, and digital transformation
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contract documentation (facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements, mandate letters, term sheets, NDAs etc.)
* Conducting legal risk assessments and offering strategic guidance to internal stakeholders
* Advising on regulatory matters and ensuring compliance with all banking and transaction-related legal requirements
* Overseeing transaction processes from start to finish - including signings and closings - while ensuring complete and compliant legal documentation
* Collaborating closely with cross-functional deal teams and coordinating the work of external legal counsel
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal legal standards, document templates, automation and legal workflows
Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated and pragmatic legal professional who brings both technical excellence and a commercial mindset:
* Degree in law or business law from a recognized university
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance transactions - either in a leading law firm or in-house legal team
* Deep understanding of project and acquisition finance and LMA documentation standards
* Solid knowledge of banking regulation and prevailing market practices
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; ideally in German, too, additional languages are a plus
* Keen interest in Legal Tech, digital tools, and process efficiency
* Strong team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, paired with high levels of self-motivation and professional confidence
In accordance with the collective agreement for bank employees and bankers, we guarantee remuneration that aligns with market standards and is tailored to your experience and qualifications. For this position, the yearly compensation starts at EUR 100,000.
