As a Senior Software Developer within the Project Software Development Department, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our intralogistics software. You’ll work on customer‑specific solutions, contribute to the modernization of our legacy systems, and take ownership of technical challenges in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
Your responsibilities and qualifications
* Develop and enhance our software platform based on Oracle, PL/SQL, and Java for current projects.
* Contribute to the transition towards Java EE, Wildfly, JMS, and container‑based architecture for future projects.
* Collaborate with distributed teams in Austria, Czech Republic, and Poland.
* Take initiative: identify problems, propose solutions, and drive implementation.
* Engage in the full development lifecycle: documentation, requirements engineering, testing, and quality assurance.
* Occasionally travel to customer sites – primarily work from Leoben or Hart bei Graz.
* Several years of experience (> 9 years) in software development.
* Strong analytical thinking and a proactive mindset.
* High‑quality standards, even under pressure.
* Experience in intralogistics is a strong advantage.
* Fluent in English; German is a plus for local collaboration.
* Willingness to grow into a Software Architect role over time.

Our employees are compensated based on individual performance and experience. A gross monthly minimum salary of EUR 5.800 is guaranteed according to the collective agreement for employees in the metal industry, with the possibility of higher pay depending on qualifications.
