What You’ll Do
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for renewable energy projects (e.g., PPAs, grid connection agreements, land acquisition, option and lease agreements and other key project documentation) and assisting in obtaining necessary permits and licenses for renewable energy projects, including environmental approvals, building and construction permits.
* Conducting due diligence on project viability, assessing risks, and ensuring legal frameworks align with investor requirements.
* Structuring and advising on joint ventures, partnerships, co‑operation agreements for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and BESS.
* Providing legal counsel on financing structures and facilities for renewable energy projects (e.g., project finance, public‑private partnerships, and subsidies) and advising on the legal aspects of government subsidies, grants, and tax incentives for renewable energy developments.
* Supporting legal due diligence and structuring of M&A activities in the renewable energy sector, ensuring compliance with both local Austrian regulations and international standards.
* Ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements, including preparing and reviewing board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and ensuring adherence to best practices and relevant regulations.
* Providing legal guidance on and assisting with corporate structuring matters, including incorporations, mergers, demergers, and the restructuring of entities within the group to ensure optimal legal and tax efficiency and compliance with applicable legal requirements.
* Providing legal support on employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts, handling labor disputes, and advising on the implementation of employee incentive plans, such as stock options or performance‑based schemes, in compliance with Austrian and CEE regulations.
Job Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ post‑qualification experience at a reputable law firm.
* Track record advising on complex matters; in‑house experience (ideally in a senior or lead role) is a strong plus.
* Strong expertise in real estate law, corporate law, and energy law; experience in renewables/infrastructure is an advantage.
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
* High analytical strength and sound judgment, able to simplify complexity and provide pragmatic, business‑oriented advice.
* Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment.
* Professional agility and adaptability, comfortable switching between strategic topics and hands‑on execution.
* Confident communicator and negotiator, able to align diverse stakeholders with clarity and trust.
* Tech‑friendly and open to new tools and ways of working.
* Positive, can‑do attitude with a goal‑focused approach – you drive solutions, not just issues.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this full‑time position (40 hours/week) is €2.464,50. Please note that this is a legal requirement to state, but your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
