About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Services Lead to oversee the technical delivery and pre-sales team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership capabilities, a deep technical background, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and manage the technical services team, including solution architects, project engineers, and pre-sales engineers.
* Solution architecture and technical lead responsibilities for projects.
* Ensure the technical quality of project deliverables.
* Prepare technical documentation for projects.
* Carry out evaluation and participate in selection of vendors of appropriate technologies to be used across the company for the provision of solutions to meet customer and business requirements.
* Work closely with clients technical and business stakeholders.
* Accountability for creating and reviewing proposals for client projects.
* Accountability for the formulation of detailed Bill of Materials for projects.
* Manage vendors from a technical perspective during projects.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a solution architect or similar roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
* Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), and cybersecurity.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
* ITIL certification or similar is a plus.
* Ability to delegate tasks and responsibility.
* Excellent soft skills – listening, coaching, mentoring, facilitation.
* Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and contexts.
* Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Well developed Influencing and negotiation skills.
* Budget development and cost management skills.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
