The PostDoc will be part of the research group Microbial Biochemistry.The employment duration is 3 years.Your future tasks:Applying LC-MS analyses of microbial metabolitesSynthesis of chemical standards and probesInvestigating bacterial biotransformation products of human drugsInvestigating effects of drugs on siderophore biosynthesis and degradationClose collaboration between Chemistry and MicrobiologyData analysisPublications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferencesSupervision of trainees and students This is part of your profile:A PhD degree in Chemistry, or a related field.Experience in LC-MS analytics, synthesis of molecular standards (e.g. quinolones, AHLs), quorum sensing pathwaysPreferably experience in working with metal chelatorsExperience in working with microbial cultures (preferably with biosafety level 2)Publications in peer-reviewd journalsA proactive, curious, and independent thinker who is motivated to push the boundaries of knowledge.The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international research environment.
