Job Description Summary
The Research Manager (f/m/d) (RM) leads a cross‑functional team to develop the research strategy, based on the overall business strategy for Women’s Health Ultrasound (Voluson) business. The RM is responsible for ensuring the research portfolio supports the business focus and that individual study results are being utilized and delivering impact. The RM will engage and support clinical and technical sites research in their studies, and where appropriate, contribute in technical development to support research needs.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Based on your strong understanding of the business strategy, product portfolio, roadmap, and innovation plans, as well as your technical expertise, you will collaborate with the Business General Manager, Chief Engineer, engineering teams, Director of Product Management, Marketing Director, Clinical Manager, Regulatory Affairs, Legal/Compliance, China Research team, Central Research Organizations, academic institutions, and GE Global Research to ensure comprehensive research strategies and plans are developed.
* You respond to and assess incoming research proposals.
* You guide the decision making for prioritization and resource allocation across the full research portfolio.
* You will seek out academic partners well‑suited for a GEHC partnership, including understanding their strengths, collaboration interests, and how their work could support the research strategy.
* You will define product strategic research needs from business planning sessions, utilizing feedback from the product development team.
* You will engage in technical work to support research needs, including collaboration with external collaborators.
* You will develop NPI‑specific evidence strategies and plans, including evaluation plans.
* You will partner with the Research Program Integrator (RPI) to support execution on research studies.
* You support the utilization of research results to maximize and assess their impact.
Required Qualifications
* You bring a Bachelor’s Degree in life science, engineering, clinical field, or equivalent.
* You bring strong experience in engaging with academic and clinical research partners.
* You bring proven technical, clinical, or research experience in a clinical setting, industry, or government agency.
* You have demonstrated understanding and experience with GXP practices, research or device manufacturer regulations, research processes, or NPI cycles.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
Desired Characteristics
* Familiarity with GE HealthCare tools and processes.
* Experience in managing clinical research or strategic decision making.
* Clinical domain expertise in OBGYN.
* Technical domain expertise in Ultrasound.

* We offer a role‑specific compensation and a competitive salary and fringe benefit package reflecting your profile and experience.
* In Austria we are required to state the minimum pay. For this position, the annual compensation package starts at €90,000. We will be pleased to discuss the appropriate effective salary based on your qualifications and experience.
