Currently we’re looking for a Software Testmanager (m/f/d) for our Passenger Coaches Department in Vienna or Graz for Siemens Mobility Austria GmbH. You will be responsible for the definition of the test strategy and the testing of the control system software for Siemens Cab Cars. Our Passenger Coaches are manufactured in Vienna and other Siemens locations, transporting people across Europe in day and night trains such as the Railjet for Austrian and Czech railway operators.
Tasks
* Lead and manage internal and external test engineers in the area of railway control software, developing test strategies focused on efficient software verification and validation.
* Collaborate closely with software development engineers and software assessors.
* Ensure project plans and deliverables are accurate, complete, and achievable; establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments.
* Monitor and manage capacity, skills, experience, and work to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement of test quality.
* Ensure test documentation and deliverables are reviewed and aligned with industry standards and regulations, reflecting Siemens Mobility's commitment to quality and safety.
* Plan and implement test automation with the team, seek out and deploy new tools and automation opportunities, and occasionally visit other Siemens locations (mainly in Germany and Czech Republic).
Skills
* Successfully completed a technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, railway engineering, or a related subject.
* Several years of experience with test management; knowledge in agile software development is a plus.
* Deep expertise in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and hands-on testing experience in a vehicle or lab conditions.
* Extensive experience in writing and reviewing requirements, as well as familiarity with requirement management tools.
* Knowledge in safety-critical software development and testing would be beneficial.
* Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, focusing on building relationships, providing constructive feedback, and fostering collaboration.
* Fluent in English and at B2-level in German.
