Our department is delivering build (projects) and run (support) services for the main DHL website www.dhl.com. Our Customer Journey team focuses on customer oriented microservices embedded into the platform, providing end toend delivery from idea toimplementation. This agile development team consist of 10 team members, closely cooperating with similarly-set sister team, as well as with the support team.
As aBackend Developer, you will be an important part of the development and deployment of the backend components of the microservice.
Ready toembark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
* Experience as aSoftware Developer or similar role
* Knowledge of Java with Spring framework (SpringBoot)
* Experience in designing and developing backend platforms and APIs
* Understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
* Knowledge of implementation patterns and phased roll-outs
* Understanding of system monitoring configuration
* Familiarity with build and release pipelines in various tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
* Ability towork in ateam environment
* We welcome previous exposure to Go programming and Gin framework

Hello, my name isLukasand Iam the manager of this newly formed team. Ijoined DHL IT Services in 2021 as project manager for development of Express Mobile application. After the successful delivery in 2022, Imoved onto the Customer Journey project in an operations and collaboration-oriented role of aservice owner, and last year Ihave added the role of team lead for the development team. This role and working at DHL is providing me with the right balance of support and challenges, which Ihave been able totransform into opportunities todevelop my knowledge, skills and career, as well tomeet people from various backgrounds and thus broaden my view of the world.
