Business Development & Operations Manager
Intandem Building Services delivers quality and cost-effective expertise in plasterboard & glazed partitions, standard & feature ceilings, external cladding, and door packages. We specialize in complex projects across commercial, education, and fitout sectors.
With consistent growth and an expanding project pipeline, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Development & Operations Manager to join the group.
About the Role
This role is not a typical office-based position. You will be supported by a dedicated internal team, but you will have the autonomy to develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
Experience in commercial fitout estimating and project management will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the commercial fitout sector (office, retail, hospitality, education, and mixed-use projects)
Actively generate and manage a robust sales pipeline from early project identification through tender submission and contract award
Support the tender and negotiation process in collaboration with estimating, contracts administration, and delivery teams
Attend and lead client meetings, site visits, industry events, and networking functions to promote Intandem’s capabilities and services
Maintain consistent follow-up with existing clients to secure business.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or new business acquisition within the construction industry
3+ years’ experience specifically within commercial fitout, interiors, plastering, or related trades
A proven hunter mindset with demonstrated success in generating leads, converting opportunities, and closing deals
Strong understanding of the commercial fitout project lifecycle, including design, tender, construction, and handover
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
