Locomotive Driver
Responsibilities:
* Conduct pre-operation checks on traction units, including safety equipment and documentation
* Verify completeness and validity of required documents and train data
* Perform brake tests and ensure all systems are operational prior to departure
* Operate locomotives during train, shunting, and special operations in accordance with regulatory standards
* Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues in line with instructions
* Carry out routine vehicle inspections and report any defects or damages
* Assist in securing cargo and managing coupling/uncoupling procedures
* Perform shunting line operations and prepare for locomotive train journeys
* Provide customer service during operations and support passenger or freight handling as needed
Requirements
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Locomotive Driver
* Proficiency in German (written and spoken) at a minimum B1 level, supported by official certification or diploma
* Valid driver’s license and relevant operational certifications
* Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work under pressure
