About the role
As our Mine Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our Commercial team, ensuring every transaction is accurately costed and every project is properly accounted for. You'll work closely with stakeholders across all departments, guiding them on purchase orders, sharing your knowledge, and helping the team confidently meet month-end deadlines. Every day, your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills will have a direct impact on the success of our operations.

Flexible arrangements are offered, with residential preferred, but DIDO up to 800km or FIFO from Brisbane is welcome.

8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)

Travel Options

* FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne
Key responsibilities
* Accurately record and cost all site transactions to ensure projects and operations are correctly accounted for
* Assist with project costing, financial reporting, and analysis of variances
* Support colleagues across departments by providing guidance and training on purchase orders and processes
* Help the Commercial team meet month‑end and reporting deadlines with confidence
* Review and reconcile transactions to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
* Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting, and systems
* Collaborate closely with the wider Commercial team to support business objectives and operational success
Qualifications and experience
* CA or CPA qualified or actively working towards qualification within the next 12 months
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
* Intermediate accounting experience, ideally in mining or a similar industry
* Experience using ERP systems and financial reporting tools
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small, supportive team
* Experience with project costing, month‑end processes, and transactional accounting
