We are seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Disability to lead the next phase of operational and workforce transformation across our National Disability Services portfolio.
Working in close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the COO will develop the Disability future fit strategy—challenging the status quo, setting new leadership benchmarks, and enabling bold innovation in how disability services are delivered and experienced.
The Role
Lead the delivery of IAG’s full suite of Disability Services:
* Supported Independent Living
* Complex Care
* Personal Care
* Plan Management
* Psychology and Counselling
You will ensure operational excellence, commercial sustainability, and above all, outstanding client outcomes. Central to this role is the responsibility for driving workforce transformation—ensuring IAG’s people are future-ready, highly skilled, and deeply engaged in delivering compassionate, client-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide executive leadership across all Disability operations, driving quality, consistency, and impact.
* Champion a future-focused approach to workforce planning, rostering, capability building, and employee engagement.
* Embed continuous improvement and service innovation across all functions.
* Oversee risk management and safeguarding practices, ensuring safety and compliance.
* Lead change and transformation efforts, introducing new ways of working to meet the evolving needs of clients and the sector.
The Ideal Candidate
You are an experienced and inspirational executive with:
* 5+ years of leadership experience within the Disability or broader Human Services sector.
* Proven expertise in leading large, diverse teams through transformational change, particularly across workforce structures and capability.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sustainable business and operational growth.
* Deep understanding of the NDIS, Disability legislation and quality frameworks.
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Business, Health or a related field.
