We are recruiting for the Group Risk & Compliance Directorate (GR&C) – Group Risk Strategy Division (GRS) – Partnerships Unit (PARTNERSHIPS) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September/October 2026). Extension: possible up to 6 months if required by University.
Applicants are limited to nationals of the Member States of the European Union, as well as citizens from candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine). Candidates with an Erasmus+ programme overlapping the traineeship duration will not be considered.

Objective of the traineeship
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the final implementation phase of a strategic risk dashboard upgrade. The selected candidate will support the integration and operationalisation of newly developed data formatting and cleaning tools. The internship is designed to provide hands‑on experience in data analysis, technical communication and user enablement, while working closely with senior officers to transform complex data into actionable insights. This role is ideal for candidates interested in risk management, data analytics and digital transformation within a professional environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the validation and formatting of portfolio data using newly implemented tools.
* Support senior officers in extracting, analysing and interpreting risk‑related data.
* Prepare and present analytical findings tailored to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Contribute to the creation of user documentation, including manuals and guidelines.
* Help design and deliver training sessions to facilitate user adoption of the upgraded dashboard.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data consistency and usability.
* Participate in feedback loops to improve dashboard functionality and user experience.
Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills
* Final year of studies or University degree in Data Science, Risk Management, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data cleaning, formatting, and visualisation techniques.
* Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Detail‑oriented, proactive and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
* Interest in risk management, digital transformation and user experience design.
* Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python or R is a plus.
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
