Job Description
Locomotive Driver
* Inspecting and accepting the traction unit in accordance with specified guidelines, including verifying safety equipment and commissioning the unit
* Reviewing and ensuring completeness and currency of necessary documents, conducting brake tests, and checking train data
* Performing train, shunting, and special operations in compliance with regulatory standards, considering signals, orders, routes, and operating the locomotive
* Troubleshooting traction unit issues following safety protocols
* Conducting vehicle checks and assisting in securing vehicle load
* Handling customer service tasks as per orders
* Depositing or handing over the traction unit to the replacement, including necessary closing activities and depositing train documents
* Completing damage reports, arranging vehicle decommissioning, conducting coupling activities, and securing locomotives and wagons
Requirements
Requirements:
* Completed training as a train driver
* 2+ years of working experience as a Locomotive Driver
* Completed apprenticeship, preferably in technical professions, or upper secondary level education
* Participation in periodic training and continuing education courses
* Successful periodic knowledge review
* Knowledge of German, both written and spoken (B2 level based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages)
