We are looking for a Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance, availability, and customer sentiment of the Fleet in their respective region of Austria. To be successful in this role, this person will need to execute the business strategy and understand where to invent and simplify solutions for the best outcome. This person will implement use of best practices and play a key role within the larger fleet organization across Europe.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Ensure vehicles within the region are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon Standards by performing audits and collating regional feedback through partnership with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
* The Fleet Operations Manager will execute existing fleet initiatives and new product launches and will support and engage with delivery partners by building mechanisms to help manage their fleet.
* Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, in order to solve complex operational needs. The role requires the ability to manage escalations and influence stakeholders.
* Manage vehicle operational readiness and cosmetic standards across the region, through collecting and analyzing data from different fleet management sources to secure customer experience.
* This role will be based in one of our delivery stations within Austria, and requires ability to travel 30‑40% of time across the assigned region. Occasional travel across Europe will be required.
This position is subject to the collective agreement for freight forwarding and logistics. The minimum salary is €47,000 gross per annum for full-time employment (38.5 hours/week).
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience influencing, interacting and building partnership with cross‑functional teams.
* Ability to handle and prioritize when presented with a high volume of engagements.
* Excellent communications skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail.
* Advanced proficiency in German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced or master’s degree or MBA.
* Relevant Fleet Management or Operations experience, or equivalent background in mobility services.
