As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 700 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.
Our Integration Platform team builds custom Kubernetes operators in Go that automate the provisioning, orchestration, and lifecycle management of platform services. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real projects, and develop practical skills in software development, testing, automation, and modern platform tooling.

YOUR TASKS – AS DIVERSE AS OUR GROUP
* Contribute to a professional Go codebase by implementing features, writing tests, and building automation
* Work with Kubernetes, including deploying, debugging, and understanding the operator pattern
* Write scripts and tooling to support development workflows and platform operations
* Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily team collaboration
* Work with cloud-native tooling, GitOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
YOUR PROFILE – AS STRONG AS OUR BRANDS
* Current or recently completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
* Writing code or scripts in at least one programming language, experience with Go is a plus, but not required
* Basic understanding of Linux, the command line, and what containers are. Prior experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a bonus
* Willingness to learn new technologies and motivated to take on challenges independently
* Acting as a Team Player and contributing ideas
* Language skills appropriate to the job

* A competitive gross monthly salary of EUR 2,156 for 38.5 hours per week. For a mandatory internship, a gross monthly salary of EUR 1,518 for 38.5 hours per week.
