QA Operations Team Leader, Qualified person (m/f/d), Kundl, Austria
Imagine managing the QA Operations for a unique facility in the Novartis network producing various nucleic acid products used in both Novartis and external customer medicines. In a dynamic environment, with your strong QA experience and as a Qualified Person, you will play a pivotal role in strategic projects for the DS Kundl site and in driving team performance to meet site and client targets.
JOB DESCRIPTION
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Executing QA Operation activities according to cGxP standards within your responsibility area. This includes:
* Leading the QA Operations Team for NAF, fostering a team culture aligned with Novartis values and behaviors
* Overseeing all production and testing activities, ensuring compliance with cGxP, including data integrity and eCompliance
* Managing the technical transfer of processes and methods
* Promoting continuous improvement considering regulatory expectations and industry trends
* Product release as a “Qualified Person” or “Responsible Person” according to Austrian law (AMBO): making release decisions for API, bulk, and intermediate products in a timely manner, including oversight of all records related to manufacturing and testing
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Educational Background: Minimum master's degree or equivalent in life sciences or related disciplines (bioengineering, pharmacy, medical, biology, chemistry, etc.) with qualifications to act as a Qualified Person according to AMG §2 Abs 13b.
* Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality control, analytical sciences & technology, and QA Operations, with proven project management skills across functions.
* Languages: Fluent in English and German
* Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Proven leadership with a collaborative, cross-functional approach. Skilled negotiator with excellent influencing, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

As required by Austrian law, the minimum salary for this role is €64.023,54/year (full-time). The actual salary will be higher, reflecting your experience, qualifications, and competencies.
