Responsibilities
* After a 24‑month onboarding in Fürth, leads product development projects in Hefei, China, as part of a multi‑year overseas assignment.
* Develop new product concepts within the Global "Plastic Decoration" business unit and adapt the existing film portfolio to Asian markets.
* Collaborate with development, production, quality assurance, and sales teams to realise customer projects from pilot to market launch.
* Support production in transferring new formulations into industrial manufacture.
* Evaluate and use locally available raw materials.
* Act as technical liaison for customers and the sales department, including product testing in-house and on site.
* Develop formulations and optimise barrier layers, paint and adhesive recipes, and apply them to polymer films using various coating and printing processes.
* Gain experience with all relevant production steps and manufacturing equipment, and participate in ongoing projects and sales activities.
Qualifications
* Dipl.-Chemiker/in or Master of Science in Chemistry.
* Strong knowledge of instrumental analytics, polymer chemistry and physics.
* Experience in lacquering, coating and/or printing technology is desirable.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Team‑friendly and willing to work within an international environment.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Independent, goal‑driven and analytical working style.
