About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Site Supervisor to join our residential construction team for a Build Construction Client's Adelaide office. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient and high‑quality delivery. This position will involve managing a team of construction workers and coordinating subcontractors to execute projects on schedule and within budget successfully.
Candidates must have Australian work authorisation, including full work rights.
What you'll be doing
1. Supervising and directing a team of construction workers to complete tasks to the required standard and on schedule
2. Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
3. Monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating any issues or risks
4. Ensuring all construction work is completed in compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
5. Liaising with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and address any concerns
6. Maintaining accurate project documentation, including timesheets, purchase orders, and daily logs
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing more efficient construction methods
What we're looking for
1. Significant experience (3+ years) as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor in the residential construction industry. Experience may include renovations and extensions, new home builds, and apartment or unit construction projects.
2. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety requirements
3. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
4. Strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
5. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and the construction team
6. Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management or a related field
7. Must hold an active Building Supervisor Licence and White Card certification.
8. Current South Australian Driver's License.
9. Strong understanding of regulations, codes and building standards.
10. Strong trade & supplier network.
