Your role in our team
As our new RF Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high‑tech solutions that ensure safety and reliability for our customers. You will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Program Management, R&D, and Customer Services to provide optimal technical solutions, supporting both development and implementation phases. Your work will involve hands‑on tasks, testing, and problem‑solving, while collaborating with experts to ensure seamless integration of complex systems. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift, and your contribution directly impacts project success and customer satisfaction.
How you will make a meaningful contribution

* Defining and implementing RF EGSE architecture for satellite payloads and TT&C systems
* Preparing input for new test system proposals, including effort estimation and technical documentation
* Developing and validating RF test setups for performance testing (up to Ka‑band)
* Executing RF link validation, compatibility testing, and providing integration support during project phases
* Preparing detailed documentation including design documentation, ICDs, test and performance reports, and user manuals
* Supporting customer reviews and maintaining close cooperation with system and payload engineers

* A university degree in RF, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering
* 5+ years of experience in RF testing for satellite applications
* Hands‑on experience with RF Satellite Test‑Systems, such as Electrical Ground Support Equipment, Special Check‑Out Equipment, Central Check‑Out System or related RF systems
* Strong understanding of RF communication concepts: modulation, link budget, SNR.SW
* Programming skills in Java, TCL (GSE4), C/C++ and Python
* Proficiency with RF lab tools such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
* A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills including customer interaction
* A strong analytical mindset and adaptability to new challenges
As a person, you are a team player, open‑minded and have an eye for details. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment allowing innovation to sprout. It is essential to have excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, you must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
We are an international company representing world‑class expertise, delivering complex and high‑tech products. We value our colleagues and our meaningful contributions to securing people through advanced technology. During onboarding in Terma you can expect thorough introduction and training in our systems and processes, as well as a strong focus on teaching you useful new competences and further strengthening current ones, both professionally and personally. Our company culture is autonomous and engaging, and we acknowledge the importance of flexibility in a great working environment.
