Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead EPCMv projects in process plant engineering. This role involves managing large-scale international projects in the process industry, with project volumes up to hundreds of millions of euros.
The position includes overall project and budget responsibility, team management, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Successfully execute large projects (>80 Mio. € TIC)
* Define project execution strategies
* Lead and steer project teams
* Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders
* Implement cost, risk, and schedule controls; report on project progress
* Ensure safety and compliance with EHS standards
* Adhere to company procedures, quality standards, and manage scope, change, and risk
* Handle escalations and negotiations with clients and suppliers
Candidate Requirements:
* Technical degree in process engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or related fields
* Project management training or certification is advantageous
* Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in EPCM/plant engineering projects, preferably in pharmaceuticals or chemicals
* Strong technical and economic understanding of project processes
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Assertiveness, flexibility, and hands-on approach
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
* Proficiency in English; German skills are a plus
* Willingness to travel within Europe
