Consultant- Commercial Life science research
We are partnering with a rapidly scaling biotechnology innovator that is transforming bioprocess development through advanced digital solutions. Their platform combines intelligent modelling, automation, and SaaS architecture to accelerate breakthroughs in the life science, bioprocessing market.
The Role
As Business Development Lead, you will drive commercial growth and shape the go-to-market strategy for a cutting‑edge SaaS solution. This is a strategic role with direct impact on revenue and market positioning. You'll engage with R&D leaders, process development teams, and digitisation stakeholders across biotech and pharma. Starting as an individual contributor, this position offers clear progression into leadership as the organisation scales.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and execute a scalable Go‑To‑Market strategy for bioprocess‑focused SaaS solutions.
* Identify and prioritise new customer segments and strategic partnerships.
* Build and manage a full sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.
* Collaborate with product and marketing teams to align messaging and road‑map with customer needs.
* Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings globally.
Requirements
* Strong academic or professional background in bioprocessing (e.g., Biotech, Biochemistry, Bioengineering).
* 5+ years in Business Development, Sales, or Strategic Commercial roles within life sciences.
* Proven ability to design and execute sales strategies for complex B2B solutions.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfortable with consultative sales cycles.
* Willingness to travel for client engagements and industry events.
Preferred
* Experience selling SaaS solutions or AI‑driven platforms in biotech/pharma.
* Understanding of AI/ML applications in bioprocessing or process optimisation.
* Additional language skills (e.g., German) are a plus.
