A leading company in the field of sports betting is currently building a central Data Science team in Vienna. For this exciting development, a dedicated individual is sought as a Data Engineer to help shape the technological foundation for data-driven decision-making.
Your responsibilities :
* Analysis and preparation of data from upstream systems
* Modeling and implementation of scalable ELT / ETL processes (batch and streaming)
* Acting as an interface between Data Analysts and Data Scientists
* Data enrichment and loading into a Big Data environment (Apache Hadoop on Cloudera)
Your profile :
* Technical education in Computer Science (e.g. technical college, university studies, Data Science)
* Experience in data modeling – both with relational databases and Apache Hadoop
Sound knowledge of the following technologies :
* SQL (MS SQL Server)
* Apache Hadoop ecosystem (Kafka, NiFi, Flink)
* Programming skills in Scala and / or Java, Python
* Experience with Linux systems
* Interest in working with high-frequency data in a near real-time environment
