Become part of our team and start your career at PALFINGER.As a Supply Quality Manager (f/m/d), you ensure the achievement of PALFINGER's quality objectives for the delivery performance of external suppliers in line with the procurement strategy and the company's group guidelines. You continuously drive improvements in delivery quality and reduce quality‑related costs arising from complaints and warranties by supporting prototype and initial sample inspections, test processes, and product audits.Your ResponsibilitiesSelect, approve and develop suppliers in line with PALFINGER standards in close cooperation with Procurement, including process capability assessments and quality assurance agreementsDefine, coordinate and monitor quality requirements, inspection plans and systematic process improvements at suppliers, including on-site visits and audits according to EN ISO 9001Support prototype, pre-series and initial sample processes, including planning, coordination and evaluation together with R&D, Engineering and internal stakeholdersLead and coordinate complaint and warranty handling with external suppliers, analyse root causes, define corrective actions and drive sustainable reduction of quality costsMonitor and report key quality KPIs for supplied parts (complaint rate, refund rate, audit rate, etc.) and initiate targeted improvement programs with suppliersYour QualificationsTechnical education in mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g. HTL, technical college, master craftsman) or comparable qualificationSeveral years of professional experience in quality management/quality assurance, ideally in the metalworking industry and in collaboration with suppliersSound knowledge of QM methods and tools (e.g. APQP, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa) and advantageously training as quality system manager and/or lead auditorVery good English skills in spoken and written form; confident use of SAP and MS Office as well as strong intercultural and communication skillsHigh assertiveness and willingness to travel up to approx. 50% (primarily within Europe, occasional worldwide trips).What We OfferFlexible working hours with no core time and possibility to work from home on a regular basisFurther training and international career opportunitiesCorporate health management "PALfit"Company restaurant with freshly prepared meals and daily meal subsidyJob ticket for travel to and from PALFINGERNumerous employee discounts through Corporate BenefitsYour responsibilitiesOperational Execution & Planning: Carry out testing, installation, commissioning, warranty, service, and maintenance tasks based on detailed work packages and plans, including mobilization and demobilization meetings, scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and HSE considerations.Compliance & Safety: Adhere strictly to Palfinger Marine's and customer HSE policies, travel regulations, working hour provisions, and participate in safety routines like Tool Box Talks and Safe Job Analysis.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily updates including service reports, punch lists, non-conformance and HSE registers, and ensure all documentation is stored on designated platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Basecamp, Smartsheet).Workplace Standards: Ensure a clean and organized work environment, promote a high-performance culture, and secure external approval of time sheets on a daily/weekly basis.Additional Duties: Perform other assigned tasks as needed to support project success and continuous improvement through lessons learned sessions with product owners.Your QualificationsTechnical education or equivalent combination of education/experience in one or several of the following disciplines: Mechanical / hydraulic, Electro / Automation / PLC, Siemens - TIA / S7, HMI, Frequency DrivesMaritime / Offshore experience is an advantageGood English language skills written and spokenExcellent cooperation and communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in a teamAbility to systematically fault trace complex technical issuesStructured, creative and have the ability to multi-taskQualification for offshore health certificate is mandatoryWhat we offerAn interesting, diversified and challenging job for the hands-on and professional candidateCompetitive salaryFlexible working hoursAn inspiring working environmentYou have the chance to be part of the fast-growing PALFINGER MARINE familyAre you interested in the position and still have questions?
