Overview
Senior UX Designer - Business Observability (m/f/x) at Dynatrace. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our next-generation observability apps. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, data-rich interfaces that help users explore, optimize, and govern their digital business operations.
Responsibilities
* Shape a suite of innovative Business Observability applications: explore Business Events design workflows to help business users discover, filter, and correlate business events with technical telemetry. Make complex event data accessible and actionable through intuitive visualizations and interactions.
* Design user journeys that visualize end-to-end business processes, enabling users to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across distributed processes.
* Design interfaces that help users understand the financial and environmental impact of their digital operations, including dashboards and tools for cost transparency, sustainability goals, and optimization strategies.
* Build experiences that guide users through compliance monitoring and reporting, ensuring clarity, traceability, and ease of navigation of regulatory requirements and audit trails.
In addition to app-specific work, you will:
* Lead UX strategy and contribute to product vision across Business Observability.
* Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
* Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to the Dynatrace design system.
What Will Help You Succeed
* You’re an experienced designer (5+ years) with a portfolio of thoughtful, impactful work to show for, preferably in enterprise SaaS or data-heavy products.
* You gravitate toward complex problems, are a self-starter, and demonstrate signs of UX leadership.
* You have experience with data visualization and workflow design and are comfortable conducting user research. You have a good eye for visual and communication design, and mastering low- and high-fidelity prototypes is part of your process.
* Excellent communication skills to help people understand the rationale behind design proposals and the nuances of design problems.
* You have a growth mindset and are a great team player. We authentically admire and respect each other, which motivates us to do great work.
* Passion for turning complexity into clarity, with the ability to focus on high-impact opportunities and use design to bring structure to the vision.
* Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools) and familiarity with design systems.
Application guidance: Please provide a link to an online portfolio showing 2 or 3 complex projects that demonstrate outcomes, challenges addressed, your role, and the strategies used. We’re interested in enterprise-level digital software products and systems (B2B, SaaS, desktop). Avoid mobile-only project examples. Please apply with both your resume and portfolio in English.
