Are you an organised, detail-driven leader with a passion for keeping production running smoothly? We’re looking for an Assistant Production Manager to help oversee day-to-day operations, support our production team, and ensure every project meets our high standards. Key Responsibilities
Lead, support, and mentor Supervisors and Team Leaders responsible for the workshop floor.
Ensure supervisory staff are effectively allocating tasks, managing workflow, and maintaining daily productivity.
Monitor production progress and intervene when required to keep schedules and ETDs on track.
Oversee warranty and servicing teams to ensure timely and high-quality work standards.
Provide clear communication between production supervisors, admin teams, and front-line staff.
Analyse production metrics, prepare performance reports, and offer insights for process improvement.
Uphold MDC’s quality, safety, and compliance standards across all production activities.
Assist the Production Manager with planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Strong mechanical and/or electrical background within automotive, caravan, trailer, or similar industries.
Leadership experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Foreman, Leading Hand, or Production Team Leader, with a readiness to step into a higher-level management role.
Confident in coaching and developing supervisory staff.
Skilled in analysing data and reporting on production performance.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proactive, quality-driven, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
