Software Developer C++, Python: Pragmatic AI & Reactive Robotics & 3D Vision & Planning (m/f/d)
To extend our growing R&D team, we are recruiting junior and senior computer scientists, software-engineers and mathematicians. You will work in software development and participate in R&D in robot vision and automatic planning, covering 3D computer vision, (pragmatic) AI, visual computing, robot programming, motion planning, machine intelligence, machine learning, optimization, computer graphics and human‑machine interaction.
Responsibilities, tasks and job description will be elaborated cooperatively to match your prior experience and interests. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following topics:
* Development of new software technologies, methods and algorithms within corporate and cooperative R&D projects
* Pragmatic use of methods (AI, ML, mathematical) to create novel or improved functionalities
* Concept and realization of algorithms (automatic path planning from CAD, from point‑clouds, 3D vision, planning, interaction, simulation, CAM, learning)
* Optionally concept and realization of software architectures
* Lead of small to medium‑sized research or development projects at a relatively early stage
* Deploy, ramp‑up and test new software solutions and computer vision systems in factories or labs for up to four weeks per year
* Implement software solutions, glue‑code and small tools to minimize deployment time at factories
* Other responsibilities according to prior experience and personal interests
Qualifications:
* European citizen (or permanent work permit) with a Master, Diploma or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related engineering discipline
* Strong background in software engineering, preferably in C++ and/or Python
* Experience or interest in visual learning, AI agents, transfer learning, or other AI methods
* Experience or knowledge of machine learning, 3D computer vision, vision libraries (e.g. Halcon, OpenCV, PCL, ROS, OMPL), robotics, automated planning, collision‑free motion planning, simulation, computer graphics, CAM, PLC, and development of complex software systems
* Interest in robotics and robot vision

Salary: The minimal base salary for this position in Haid is €44,450 per year. The company is willing to overpay based on experience and qualifications. Position is permanent.
Innovation and Application Engineer: Robot Vision & 3D Vision & Planning (m/f/d)
To augment our growing R&D ambitions, we are recruiting junior and senior engineers, computer scientists and software engineers. You will set up and optimise automation systems, derive technical innovations from experiences and discussions with customer experts, and implement those innovations in software. Position is permanent.
Working pattern:
* 40 to 80 days per year spent at laboratories or factory sites in Germany, Austria, Europe or worldwide, typically lasting 2 to 3 days or 2 to 3 weeks.
* 5 to 15 days of additional leisure time that compensates longer working hours during trips.
* 135 to 185 days of office work developing software, discussing insights, preparing work for customer sites, and supporting partners.
* 0 to 1 day of hardware work, as we are a software company.
Responsibilities and tasks will be tailored to experience and interests. Responsibilities include:
* Set up high‑end robot systems and optimise processes at factories and laboratories.
* Analyse robot systems for innovations in collaboration with customer and partner experts.
* Conceptualise algorithms, interfaces and user‑interaction software tools.
* Implement and realise software tools and improvements.
* Develop new user interfaces, methods and algorithms within corporate and cooperative R&D projects.
* Other responsibilities according to prior experience and personal interests.
Qualifications and interests:
* European citizen (or permanent work permit) with a MSc, BSc, Diploma or HTL in Engineering (automation, EE, mechanics, mechatronics, robotics) or Computer Science / Software Engineering.
* Strong background in software engineering, preferably in C++ and/or Python.
* Experience or interest in automation, robotics, 3D computer vision, robot vision libraries (e.g. OpenCV, PCL, ROS, OMPL), machine learning, automated planning, collision‑free motion planning, simulation, CAM and development of algorithms in C++ and Python.
* Interest in travelling to Germany, Austria, Europe and worldwide.
* Very good German language skills (or willingness to learn German).
* Driver’s licence and preferably own car.
