Your mission
As Divisional Director of Supply Chain Management and member of Trotec’s global Senior Management Team, you own end-to-end supply chain performance across three lines of business (Machines, Service and Materials). You drive excellence in the core processes—Order to Cash, Sales & Operations/Capacity Planning, and Logistics & Warehousing—ensuring customer satisfaction, resilience, and cost efficiency. You align global functions and partners, set clear targets and KPIs, and continuously improve processes and systems to enable scalable growth.
Strategic Responsibilities
Global Operating Model Ownership (Core SCM Processes)
Order-to-Cash (O2C):Own and continuously enhance the global end-to-end Order-to-Cash process, from order intake through invoicing and collections. Define global standards, governance structures, controls, and KPIs (e.g. OTIF, lead time, cash flow performance). Drive cross-functional collaboration, issue resolution, and digital initiatives to increase transparency and improve customer experience.
Sales & Operations / Capacity Planning (S&OP):Lead the global S&OP and capacity planning framework, including governance cadence, planning parameters, and decision-making forums. Ensure alignment of demand, supply, and production capacity across regions and manufacturing sites. Manage planning scenarios and operational constraints while establishing and monitoring KPIs such as forecast accuracy and plan adherence.
Logistics & Warehousing:Define and implement the global logistics and warehousing strategy, including network design, transportation concepts, and service level standards. Standardize processes related to 3PL management, inventory handling, and transport operations. Drive cost-to-serve optimization, operational resilience, compliance, and continuous improvement in delivery performance and lead times.
Operational Responsibilities
Order-to-Cash (O2C):Manage daily O2C operations and governance, including backlog management, OTIF performance, lead times, dispute handling, and collections coordination. Maintain master data integrity and SOPs while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve root causes and improve process efficiency.
S&OP / Capacity Planning:Lead the monthly S&OP cycle by consolidating demand and supply plans, evaluating constraints and scenarios, and aligning stakeholders on operational commitments. Monitor execution and ensure adherence to agreed plans and targets.
Logistics & Warehousing:Oversee logistics providers, carrier performance, and warehouse operations to ensure high service quality and operational efficiency. Monitor transportation costs, lead times, damage rates, and inventory flows while driving network and shipment optimization initiatives.
Cost, Budget & Working Capital Management:Own SCM budget planning and monthly forecasting processes. Analyze and manage key cost drivers such as freight, warehousing, and premium transportation costs while implementing sustainable savings initiatives. Optimize working capital through effective inventory management, DIO reduction, and payment term management.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and digitalization approaches. Drive standardization, automation, and simplification of global SCM workflows and operating procedures.
Risk Management & Compliance:Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation and business continuity plans for critical suppliers, transportation lanes, and operational dependencies. Ensure compliance with export, customs, and sustainability regulations, including applicable supply chain due diligence requirements (e.g. German Supply Chain Act / Lieferkettengesetz).
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:Lead, develop, and empower the global SCM organization through clear structures, defined responsibilities, and performance management routines. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Production, Service, and other key stakeholders to ensure end-to-end supply chain excellence.
