Overview
Be an integral part of the Technical Training Virtual Reality team. Use your programming experience and 3D modeling skills to develop innovative training experiences for the Lam Research workforce.
Impact You’ll Make
Lead curriculum design and development for virtual reality training environments, creating engaging, effective learning experiences that meet adult learning principles.
What You’ll Do
* Perform needs and/or gap analysis to determine training needs for each project assigned.
* Convert existing maintenance procedures and other training materials for use in a blended learning curriculum.
* Work with subject‑matter experts (SMEs) to provide QA & control on design documents and instructional materials.
* Develop professional‑level storyboards and other presentation materials, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint, Camtasia, and Articulate Storyline.
* Assist with annual updates to existing course materials to ensure up‑to‑date accuracy.
* Regularly participate in meetings requiring close interaction with various subject‑matter experts.
* Produce quality end‑products (PowerPoint‑based storyboards and multimedia assets) in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
Key Qualifications
* Comprehensive knowledge of methods and expertise in developing courseware for ILT, WBT, and mixed‑media training.
* Experience facilitating group discussions with SMEs to align on training content.
* Curriculum design and development, including student outlines, handouts, facilitator guides, performance exercises, evaluations, activities, job aids, etc., adhering to Lam’s internal standards.
* Competence in Articulate Storyline (or similar) eLearning software and Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Knowledge of VR hardware and software configurations (Steam, Windows Mixed Reality HMDs). Knowledge of video & audio production software such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Camtasia, and WellSaid is a plus.
* Strong visual and interaction skills.
Who We’re Looking For
* Possess a bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, ISD, or related field, from an accredited institution.
* In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, consider the following experience: 5+ years in the semiconductor industry or on large capital equipment ISD, prior military experience developing training curriculum, and/or experience as curriculum developer or faculty with semiconductor capital equipment.
* 3+ years of media development, publishing and content management.
* Proficiency with Adobe eLearning Suite (Captivate, Storyline) and Camtasia.
* 3+ years of conducting classroom learning sessions, seminars, or workshops.
What We’re Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. Compensation is negotiable based on expertise and skills. See the Employment in Austria section for further information.
