Job Description:

Your tasks:

4. You will be responsible for technical media processing and stock maintenance, carrying out scanning jobs and organising work in the open access areas of the library.
5. You will support students, teaching staff and researchers as well as the general public in their search for literature and information and provide assistance in the use of online databases, catalogues and other research tools
6. Answer questions via email, live chat, telephone or in person and ensure that all customers are served in a friendly and efficient manner.
7. You will manage the lending and return process of media and help with the use of e-books, e-journals and other digital resources. They provide support in setting up access and offer technical assistance in the operation of reproduction devices.
8. They receive complaints and deal with them in a professional and solution-orientated manner. You will endeavour to resolve conflicts and ensure a positive customer experience. You will refer more complex enquiries to the relevant department. You will participate in internal library projects to improve customer service, develop new services and promote library use

Your profile:

9. You have completed an apprenticeship or commercial school or have an equivalent qualification and have a high affinity for modern technologies and new developments, preferably in the library and service sector as well as in customer communication
10. You are characterised by communication skills, sociability and a confident manner, and you enjoy dealing with people. You are a team player with the ability to work in a dynamic environment

For this position in job group IIb, a minimum gross salary of € 1.310 per month (14 times)* is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
