Overview
Team Lead for Digital Business‑Unit (all genders) – Start immediately. Full‑time, 36 h week, located in Vienna.
As Team Lead of our new Digital Business Unit in Vienna, you will build an independent, high‑performance unit. You will put together a team consisting of project management, consulting and development staff and develop it further with initial customer projects – supported by management and People & Culture. Your focus: digital projects with impact. You will develop platforms, campaign and personalisation pages, e‑commerce solutions, PIM integrations and services that are technically sound, user‑centred and brand‑strong. You will use AI in a targeted manner to accelerate, improve quality and optimise customer experiences. Vienna is a dynamic, performance‑oriented market. Here, you will shape your own Viennese profile, combining pace and directness with our pixelart DNA of quality and technical depth. Your mission: to build a stable business unit with clear services, relevant projects and strong key figures – with structures and processes that combine quality and speed. The result is a location that functions independently but remains unmistakably pixelart.
Your Tasks
Team building and recruiting: establish the new digital business unit in Vienna, give it a clear structure, identify talent, oversee recruitment of project managers and developers, and ensure sustainable, healthy team growth.
Leadership and team development: lead your team both professionally and personally, set clear quality standards and establish processes that enable focus, efficiency and accountability.
Coaching and competence development: support your team in their professional and personal development, promote modern working methods in e‑commerce, UX/UI, data models, PIM and AI‑based processes.
Organisation and structure: be responsible for resource planning, capacities and the budget, and ensure lean, scalable structures – from consulting and budgeting to conception and technical implementation.
Processes and communication: transform our existing processes in Vienna, optimise collaboration between customers, project management and your team, and focus on automation, efficiency and measurable quality.
Interdisciplinary collaboration: work closely with pixelart experts from data, analytics, tracking, performance, technology, content and creative to develop user‑centred, technologically clean digital solutions.
Consulting, business development and pitches: be actively involved in consulting, workshops, conception processes and business development, play a central role in pitches, prepare quotations, budgeting and developing solutions, and take a leading role in tenders.
Collaboration with the leadership team: work closely with the leadership team, using them as sparring partners and accelerators for efficient work and sustainable growth.
What You Can Contribute
Strategic thinking and consulting quality: understand how brand management, KPIs, technology, data structures, e‑commerce, UX/UI and customer journeys interact and translate these perspectives into customer and company goals.
Leadership experience: several years of experience in the digital environment – ideally in agencies or e‑commerce and technology settings – and successfully built and led teams and digital organisational structures.
People and team skills: lead clearly, empathetically and with high standards and shared values, creating an environment where people can work independently, customer‑oriented and with confidence.
Organisational and structural strength: work in a structured manner, plan ahead and keep a reliable eye on resources, priorities and processes.
Coaching skills: recognise potential, promote individual development and actively support your team in their professional and personal development.
Strong communication skills: communicate clearly and appropriately to internal and external audiences – internally, with customers and in pitches or presentations.
Business development skills: consulting, workshops, tendering, budgeting, pitch arguments and dealing with tenders are part of your routine.
Change and growth mindset: pragmatically integrate new ways of working, such as AI‑supported processes and automated workflows, into everyday life.
Hands‑on leadership: make decisions, remain confident even in dynamic situations, and pitch in when projects, requirements or team dynamics require it.
