Business Process Owner (BPO) – Quotation Process for Systems
ABB Robotics, a leading global robotics company, is looking for a Business Process Owner (BPO) to design and govern the global end‑to‑end quotation process for robotic systems, cells, and engineered solutions.
This role sits within ABB's Robotics business as part of the Commercial and Pricing Excellence team. The BPO will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Legal teams across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and maintain the global system quotation process, establish governance and roles, coordinate worldwide rollout and adoption.
* Design a clear and structured workflow covering requirement capture, concept development, BOM/WBS creation, costing, pricing, and approvals.
* Support the development and enhancement of CPQ and solution‑design tools, ensuring integration with the digital landscape.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent scoping, costing, and validation of system solutions.
* Define global standards for transforming BOM/WBS structures into cost estimates and pricing logic, establish controls and approval flows.
Your Background
* Hands‑on experience in quoting/architecting automation systems, robotic cells, and engineered offerings.
* Ability to translate customer needs into concept layouts, BOMs/WBS, and cost models.
* Experience collaborating with engineering, project management, supply chain, and other domain experts.
* Exposure to CPQ or digital solution‑configuration tools for complex systems.
* Strong process‑design skills with experience in governance, documentation, and global rollout.
* Structured, analytical and capable of bringing clarity to complex engineered‑solution environments.
* Fluent in English and proficiency in additional languages.
