Your Responsibilities
Development of automated chemistry and machine learning approaches to investigate innovative catalytic systems, with a focus on biomass-related areas
Optimization of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic processes using high-throughput experimentation (HTE), machine learning/AI-driven models, and design of experiments (DoE)
Hands-on operation and reaction automatization using robotic platforms (e.g., ChemSpeed) for catalyst screening and reaction optimization
Writing of high-impact scientific publications and cooperation within the ‘Institute of Chemistry’ as well as national and international collaboration with academic and industry partners
(Co)-supervision of Bachelor / Master / PhD students
Your Profile
Completed doctorate/PhD in in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Proven expertise in automated chemistry and AI-driven chemistry
Previous work experience in the domain of high-throughput screening (HTS) and catalyst development with AI is required
Solid background in homogeneous and/or heterogeneous catalysis
Excellent computer and programming skills (e.g., Python, R) are highly beneficial
Hands-on experience with ChemSpeed or related robotic platforms for reaction automatization is highly beneficial
Previous experience in the application of Green Chemistry principles and metrics
Excellent written and spoken English skills and a strong publication record in high-impact journals
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently in a diverse, interdisciplinary team, including the willingness to mentor PhD and Master students
