Overview Join Infineon\'s Power and Sensor Systems (PSS) division in Austria as a Principal Engineer Hardware Reliability. You will define and implement quality targets for Modules and ICs based on customer and market requirements, oversee the product lifecycle to ensure quality criteria are met, develop qualification strategies, manage product qualification, address customer needs, and handle product deviations and risk assessments in production. The role also focuses on deploying quality tools, training colleagues, and participating in strategic meetings with key customers to maintain alignment with quality objectives.

Responsibilities Define and implement reliability and quality targets for hardware and power modules in AI applications, ensuring alignment with customer and application requirements.
Develop and execute verification and reliability qualification strategies and plans, balancing cost, time and resources.
Design and implement innovative reliability test methodologies and specifications, and analyze results to assess design risks and product reliability.
Investigate failure mechanisms through statistical data analysis and root-cause investigations to continuously improve product performance.
Collaborate from early concepts to mass production with design, manufacturing and NPI teams to optimize reliability, quality and manufacturability.
Provide expertise in electrical and mechanical component selection, fabrication processes and assembly techniques to enhance quality.
Present reliability results, risks and recommendations to cross-functional and leadership teams with confidence and clarity.
Represent Quality Management in discussions related to product deviations, production risks, and corrective actions.
Drive customer satisfaction by advocating for customer requirements in problem-solving and quality-related decisions.
Actively engage in strategic discussions with key customers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on reliability expectations and objectives.
Qualifications A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or comparable.
At least 6+ years of experience in Quality Management in a technical environment and/or Electronic & Semiconductor assembly/Research & Development/Engineering with product and technology development focus.
Fundamental knowledge of JEDEC, IEC, AEC and ISO qualification standards for modules and their applications is a strong plus.
Experience in customer communication and fluent English skills, with German language skills as a plus.
We offer Competitive salaries and additional benefits based on performance, experience and qualifications. In Austria, employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I. Salary details are governed by the local collective agreement. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year. Higher compensation may be offered based on expertise and skills.
