Overview Professional Internal Auditor with AML/Financial Sanctions and Retail Focus (f/m/x) at Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). The role involves audit leadership responsibilities in a broader international context, with emphasis on anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, and retail banking across RBI and group companies.
Your mission at RBI Lead or participate in audits at RBI Head Office and group companies, focusing on anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, and retail banking.
Plan audit engagements, define audit approaches, guide team members, and ensure high-quality fieldwork execution.
Identify risks, control weaknesses, and process inefficiencies through interviews, walkthroughs, sample testing, and analysis of documentation and data.
Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports and present key conclusions to stakeholders.
Track and assess remediation of agreed audit actions and supervisory findings.
Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks relevant to the audited areas and reflect them in audit work.
Collaborate with audit teams and business stakeholders across the RBI Group in an international and collaborative environment.
Your core competencies University degree in Business, Economics, Law, or a related discipline, or a comparable educational background.
Several years of relevant professional experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance, or a comparable control function within banking or financial services.
Strong expertise in at least one and ideally several of the following areas: anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, or retail banking.
Ability to lead audit assignments, coordinate team members, and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ideally with experience in data analysis and interest in digital tools and AI.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English; German and additional CEE languages are an advantage.
Willingness to travel across the CEE region.
Nice to have Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CAMS, or similar.
Experience in cross-border audit work, supervisory interaction, or audits in highly regulated banking environments.

Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3,375.40 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
