As a (Senior) Design Manager at Exyte, you will be the central technical interface in a project. You will coordinate and integrate the contributions of all technical disciplines (e.g. architecture, building services, electrical engineering, process planning), ensure a smooth flow of information and maintain technical consistency across all planning phases – with a high level of responsibility for quality, interfaces and deadlines.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
* Introduction of consistent project goals and procedures for the disciplines CSA, mechanics, process, electrical, I&C, LSS, IT and safety
* Monitoring of the design process, participation in design reviews of the leading disciplines with regard to constructability and value-adding technical activities
* Leading internal and external design coordination meetings
* Leading design reviews, e.g. P&ID reviews and 3D model reviews
* Ensuring that the entire design and production process of the project is carried out as efficiently and technically accurately as possible, within the specified project budget and schedule
* Supporting the project manager in preparing quotations and project execution (man loader, project schedule, benchmarking, estimates, design change management)
* Analysing, structuring, prioritising and delegating tasks related to design and engineering issues and following up on results
Show your expertise
* Completed degree in process engineering, supply engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering or similar
* Several years of experience in technical planning, coordination or engineering management of large-scale projects
* Knowledge of technical workflows and key content (e.g. P&IDs and 3D model development, specifications, system and function descriptions, cost calculations)
* Structured, independent working style and strong technical understanding
* Fluent written and spoken German and English
* Willingness to work on project-related assignments in the DACH region
