As a (Senior) Design Manager at Exyte, you will be the central technical interface in a project. You will coordinate and integrate the contributions of all technical disciplines (e.g. architecture, building services, electrical engineering, process planning), ensure a smooth flow of information and maintain technical consistency across all planning phases – with a high level of responsibility for quality, interfaces and deadlines.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Introduction of consistent project goals and procedures for the disciplines CSA, mechanics, process, electrical, I&C, LSS, IT and safety
Monitoring of the design process, participation in design reviews of the leading disciplines with regard to constructability and value-adding technical activities
Leading internal and external design coordination meetings
Leading design reviews, e.g. P&ID reviews and 3D model reviews
Ensuring that the entire design and production process of the project is carried out as efficiently and technically accurately as possible, within the specified project budget and schedule
Supporting the project manager in preparing quotations and project execution (man loader, project schedule, benchmarking, estimates, design change management)
Analysing, structuring, prioritising and delegating tasks related to design and engineering issues and following up on results
Show your expertise
Completed degree in process engineering, supply engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering or similar
Several years of experience in technical planning, coordination or engineering management of large-scale projects
Knowledge of technical workflows and key content (e.g. P&IDs and 3D model development, specifications, system and function descriptions, cost calculations)
