Overview TREXEL GmbH, a member of the ENGEL Group and the global leader in MuCell® microcellular foam technology, delivers innovative lightweighting solutions to industries worldwide and is seeking an accomplished Head of Sales to drive and coordinate global sales and service activities. With full responsibility for Europe (EU) and North America (NOAM), and oversight of Asia, you will play a pivotal role in strategic growth, key account management, and market development — while serving as a member of the TREXEL GmbH leadership board.

What You Will Do / Responsibilities Sales & Services Leadership: Lead and align our sales team with the global strategy, oversee sales and service efforts across EU, NOAM, and Asia, and ensure effective steering and performance tracking. Manage regional representatives and collaborate closely with ENGEL US on integration and reporting.
Strategic Sales Management: Design and execute strategic plans for brand owners and key accounts, identify new growth markets for MuCell technology, and act as the primary contact for the footwear industry in both the US and Europe. Drive business development initiatives and take global ownership of key account management.
Operational Oversight: Align sales and service teams across regions, foster collaboration with technical and product departments, and maintain close cooperation with the Asian Sales Manager. Represent TREXEL at customer meetings and industry events, and oversee subsidiaries to ensure corporate alignment.
Commercial & Strategic Control: Hold full revenue responsibility for global sales, manage customer contracts and negotiations, and prioritize orders and resources in line with strategic needs.
What Makes You a Great Fit A technical or materials background (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Process Engineering or Material Science and Engineering) is highly beneficial — as selling MuCell means selling an application rather than just hardware.
Proven experience in international sales leadership, ideally within plastics, materials, or machinery industries.
Solid understanding of strategic account management and market development.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage — especially German. A willingness to travel internationally is essential.
Strong ability to quickly take ownership of sales steering responsibilities.
