Overview
Manage a business services and tax team in a dynamic Queensland based accounting firm with approximately 70+ people across two locations and an offshore team servicing SMEs, non-profit organisations, corporations, partnerships and individuals across Accounting, Audit & Assurance and Business Advisory.

About the Role
Reporting to a director, you will manage a diverse client base across a broad range of industry sectors, reviewing your team’s work and client relationships.
Key responsibilities include managerial and delegation of workflow around compliance, cash flow forecasts, management reports, tax research and advisory work; performance coaching and well‑being conversations with team members; and engagement with the full team in regular catch‑ups.
You will be a senior manager, demonstrating strong tax advisory skills and a passion for helping Australian businesses, and will have background management experience and familiarity with Xero, XPM, and Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications and Experience
* Senior manager or equivalent level with strong track record in business services and tax
* Experience using Xero, XPM, and Microsoft Teams
* Excellent client contact skills and ability to serve as a role model for staff
* Strong tax advisory knowledge and passion for helping Australian businesses
* Good track record of longevity in previous roles and proven management of workflow
