Company Introduction - STARD
STARD is an internationally recognized Austrian R&D specialist business unit of family-owned Stohl Group GmbH, with a focus on motorsport and high performance automotive vehicles, in-house test-track and 24 years of successful operation. We cover the whole process chain for entire vehicle development, assembly, testing, vehicle operation and racing completely in-house.
Our recently acquired very own proving ground and test track, which also includes an off-road area, is part of our new very well equipped company headquarter located right outside of Vienna, accessible with public transportation and just 15 driving minutes from the Vienna International Airport.
In addition to ICE and EV entire vehicle development, STARD´s focus also lies on following key areas:
* High performance FIA certified HV battery systems
* High performance Electric Drive Units (integrated and individual E-Motor, Inverter and transmission systems)
* Complete E/E systems for ground, aerial, and marine vehicles
* ICE-ECU and E-VCU software development and calibration
* Advanced Powertrain control strategies including 4WD torque vectoring systems
* Chassis and suspension systems
* Worldwide Racing activity (in very close collaboration with sister business unit “Stohl Racing”) including: Rally, Rallycross, Circuit Racing, Offroad, Special programmes (e.g. Pikes Peak, Nürburgring Laprecords,…)
The supplied industries include motorsport, automotive, powersports, marine and aerospace which results in a very diverse scope of challenging and exciting projects.

Job Description
Workshop Manager
Selection of associated activities include:
* Supervision and coordination of the prototyping & racing workshop team
* Process and lead daily workshop team meetings
* Enforce and optimize general working guidelines in workshop
* Receive instructions from and report to Technical Director and Team Principal
* Apply and generate guidelines to optimize workshop operation
* Implement new processes and improve existing ones in order to optimize efficiency and quality of carried out work
* Plan and coordinate small series production subsystem and car build up processes (e.g. customer motorsport) in close cooperation with supply chain, engineering, and management team
* Supervise project processes in order to comply with planned milestones and project completion timelines
* Supervision of process related documentation maintenance (build sheets, EoL tests, QC, project based job records,…)
* Manage and supervise workshop equipment and facility, forward tasks to facility manager and lead technicians
Profile
* Extensive relevant multi-year experience in motorsport or automotive workshop as manager or in a leading position
* Excellent team leading skills
* Passion for motorsport, high performance vehicles and powertrain systems
* Interested in and positive towards future technologies such as EV, Hydrogen combustion & fuel cell,….
* Basic technical understanding of entire vehicle systems and subsystems. Ideally with EV system and handling knowledge
* Responsible and very well organised working approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Excellent MS Office knowledge (particularly: word, excel)
* Target oriented approach, ability to work entirely self-organised
* Flexible in working hours if required (weekends, holidays, late hours), as typical in motorsport
* Above average commitment and team work ability, as typical in motorsport
* Willingness to take responsibility and leading role in the company
* Excellent English skills (verbal & read/write) required

* Long-term full time permanent employment based in Austria, Vienna
* Initial temporary “Fly-in” option (Company owned modern Apartments available) possible
