Since 2014 we have been working on the development of innovative products based on NFC technology, consisting of hardware and software. We are part of the RENESAS family and well embedded in the Embedded Processing and Connectivity organization.
To date we have successfully launched multiple NFC ICs onto the market. Our NFC products are used for example in Point of Sales terminals, wireless charging of wearables (like small battery accessories or smart watches) or in the field of Internet of Things (IoT). The innovative strength of our international team is visible in our day-to-day work and the products we bring to the market.
Renesas Electronics Corporation is a dynamic organization that you will be part of and as such you will be helping to address the rising demand of NFC in applications such as Fintec, IOT, asset tracking, wireless charging and automotive applications.
Currently, we are looking for an experienced NFC System Architect (f/m/d) for the definition of ICs for RFID/NFC in Automotive applications.
Tasks and Resposibilities
1. Analyze and understand in detail the Automotive customer use-cases together with product management/marketing
2. Develop detailed, actionable product requirements together with product management/marketing based on customer needs (stated or anticipated)
3. Create a system architecture built on a good understanding of Hardware-Software Co-design and trade-offs, fulfilling the defined requirements
4. Ensure required quality and guide the team in execution of Automotive development programs
5. Develop (system) integration and validation (concepts and) plans together with the (inter-disciplinary) team
6. Support the product development (project managers and inter-disciplinary teams) during implementation and validation (phases) and drive product quality targets
7. Be responsible for implementation of system level concepts across disciplines and over the full project life cycle
8. Interface with lead customers from product definition to production ramp-up, including technically driving new requirements and critical system issues coming from customer
Qualifications
Professional Background and Skills
9. Bachelor/Masters/PhD Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science with industry experience of more than 10+ years
10. Highly experienced in definition of system architectures for semiconductor products (SoC + Software) for Automotive products
11. Highly experienced in Automotive semiconductor development flow and in-depth understanding of what is required to achieve Automotive grade quality
12. Familiarity with ISO9000, AEC-Q100 and/or ISO26262 quality systems
13. A highly organized and structured way of working is mandatory
14. Experience in NFC/RFID and/or other wireless radio technologies is highly desirable, but not a must-have
15. Experience in system integration and hardware reference designs is desirable
16. Good understanding of the product development lifecycle and processes
17. Good communication, documentation, abstraction and presentation skills
18. Experienced in working with and leading global teams technically and having played a customer facing technical lead role.
