What you’ll do
As Brand Manager Oncology you will drive the commercialisation of assigned brands in Austria by developing and implementing the marketing strategy and operational marketing mix and tactics in order to achieve the brand ambition by delivering budgeted or above sales growth. In this role you will be strongly involved in existing brands and in launches of new products based on growth of our oncology portfolio.
Other responsibilities will include:
1. Advocate for and drive the brand amongst office and field colleagues as well as external customers to ensure the Brand Plan delivers essential short term growth and long term brand success.
2. Align the global strategic brand plans with local customer & market insights in order to develop tailored and successful local brand strategy, brand messages and tactical plans.
3. Maximise the full use of all commercial/medical channels by developing brand materials (digital/print) and activities through cross-functional collaboration.
4. Continuously seek to understand and embed customer and market insights into all brand activities by synthesizing qualitative feedback from various sources (market research reports and promotional analysis, customer insights, field insights…) with quantitative feedback available through various data sources and reports.
5. Be the product, competitor and market expert of assigned brand.
6. Pro-actively adapts the Brand Plan in function of the continuously changing environment to maximise brand potential.
7. Liaise very closely with sales team to receive market and customer feedback, embed campaigns, and provide brand vision and leadership. Ensure full understanding of the rationale and insights that underpin campaigns, messages and marketing actions and how field input was used in material development.
8. Responsible for budget of assigned brand(s).
Essential for the role
9. University degree in Natural Science, Business or related
10. Languages: Fluent German and English
11. Experience with managing complex projects
12. Proven brand management experience
13. At least 3 years proven work experience in a similar role in multinational matrix company in the pharmaceuticals industry
14. Experience in specialty care/hospital products
15. Experience in Insight/Market Research & brand forecasting
16. Planning and thinking strategically
17. Business & financial understanding
18. Commercial awareness
19. Excellent project management skills
Desirable for the role
20. Previous oncology experience
21. Experience in launching new pharma products in a competitive market
22. Knowledge of the Austrian Healthcare environment
