The Medical University of Innsbruck is looking for a Database Expert in the field of clinical data integration, IVa, Office of the Rectorate, starting immediately.
Requirements
Completed relevant degree in medical informatics or a comparable discipline or several years of relevant professional experience.
Desirable Qualifications
1. In-depth knowledge of IT systems in the medical environment, especially Linux servers, IT system architecture, IT processes, and databases.
2. Very good expertise in dealing with relational database systems (preferably Oracle/APEX).
3. In-depth knowledge of research-oriented clinical data integration.
4. Very good verbal and written knowledge of German and English.
5. Experience in research-oriented integration of clinical data in the form of project proposals or publications.
6. Experience with agile software development projects and programming knowledge in at least one object-oriented language, ideally Java.
7. Several years of experience in the technical operation of clinical information systems (e.g., KIS, LIMS, etc.) as well as in the field of medical ontologies and thesauri (e.g., SNOMED, LOINC, etc.).
8. Knowledge in the implementation of technical interfaces (e.g., FHIR, OMOP, etc.).
9. Several years of professional experience in distributed clinical data integration on an international level.
10. Careful, accurate, and reliable way of working.
11. Strong communication and team skills.
12. Willingness to travel and engage in continuous training.
The annual minimum fee for this position is currently €47,464.20 gross in the basic, and it may be increased based on the collective bargaining rules by crediting previous job-specific experience. Overpayment is expected depending on qualification and work experience.
