About the Role
This is not your everyday hospitality job, it's live events, high volume, and real leadership.
As our Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you'll drive outstanding service across bars, retail outlets and café operations (including barista service), working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the Venue Manager and Head Chef to deliver seamless event days.
You Will:
* Lead event operations across Nissan Arena & QSAC from bump‑in, to pack‑down.
* Coach and inspire 10–20+ staff to deliver fast, consistent, high‑quality service.
* Oversee coffee service, bar operations and multiple retail outlets with speed and accuracy.
* Maintain top‑tier customer service and uphold ACS's commitment to excellence.
* Ensure compliance: food safety, RSA, cash handling, reporting and venue standards.
* Collaborate on menu improvements, efficiency upgrades and service innovations.
About You
* 1–2+ years' experience in events, hospitality or F&B leadership.
* Management position experience required to effectively oversee operations and lead teams.
* Minimum 1 year of Food & Beverage management experience is essential.
* Confident leading large casual teams and thriving in high‑pressure service.
* Barista skills essential—you know your way around a coffee machine.
* Minimum 1 year of barista experience operating commercial coffee equipment is required.
* RSA (QLD), Food Safety/Handlers Certificate, driver's licence.
* Current QLD RSA certification must be obtained within 30 days of commencement.
* Flexibility for nights, weekends and event schedules.
