The Team Corporate Underwriting & Analysis is part of the Corporate Risk Management Division of Erste Group Bank AG (Holding) and consists of a fair mix of underwriters and business analysts. It deals with corporate risk matters of Austrian and International Corporate Clients with strong focus on CEE. The core competence consists in analyzing, recommending and/or taking credit decisions for corporate customers. In selected cases underwriters are supported by the business analysts with in-depth analysis, peer group comparisons and forecasting.
Your TasksAssessment of the credit worthiness of large national and international corporates in Austria and CEE, including the forward looking assessment of the respective business model, repayment capability and liquidity (thereby dealing with loans, export-, trading-, project- and leveraged acquisition financings)Deciding on loan applications either within your discretionary approval authority or preparing a clear recommendation to the final decision makerResponsible for a dedicated portfolio of corporate client groups with focus on energy (renewable energy projects) as well as consumer goodsDefining of risk strategies on clients and the covered industryParticipating in client meetingsCooperation with different departments and CEE subsidiaries within Erste GroupContribution to various Group and Department projects alongside the credit process
Your BackgroundGraduate in business administration or lawSolid experience in Corporate Banking (Account Manager/Risk Manager/Credit Analysis/Corporate Finance) with min. 3 years of activity in these areasFamiliar with lending products and legal basicsStrong analytical, writing and presentation skills in German and English to present complex issues conciselyFlexibility and resilience to perform in a fast-paced environmentReadiness to cooperate with colleagues of other departments/ CEE subsidiaries in a multi-cultural environmentWillingness to travel (occasionally)Open-minded, result- and target-orientedVery good language skills in German and English are a pre-condition
