Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire the Systems Accounting team to deliver secure, high-performing TechnologyOne CiA environments that underpin departmental financial operations.
* Drive innovation and integration, managing system enhancements, reporting solutions, and complex interfaces to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with business and stakeholder needs.
* Champion excellence and compliance, ensuring system integrity, security, and APS values while enabling continuous improvement and capability uplift across the Finance and Investment Division.
* administer, configure, and maintain the TechnologyOne CiA environments, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance
* manage user access, security roles, and permissions in accordance with departmental policies and compliance standards
* coordinate and execute system upgrades, patches, and version releases in partnership with TechnologyOne and internal stakeholders
* monitor and troubleshoot system performance, integrations, and interfaces with other business systems
* design and build complex reports and dashboards in TechnologyOne
* develop and maintain scripts, automation, and monitoring tools to streamline administration and reporting
* maintain system documentation, technical procedures, and configuration records in line with department standards
* ensure compliance with departmental ICT policies, cyber security standards, and government audit requirements
* provide high-level support to business users, including helpdesk services for simple to complex system issues, and escalate as required
* develop and deliver training programs for system users
* collaborate with project teams on TechnologyOne enhancements and new module implementations
* define, document, and coordinate system enhancements and integrations
* manage user acceptance testing and quality assurance processes
* lead and mentor team members and junior system administrators to achieve high performance and service delivery
* set work area priorities, manage workflows, and evaluate business outcomes to ensure team cohesion and effectiveness
* engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous business improvements
* undertake high-level analysis and evaluation of current business processes to identify and implement improvements
* review and prepare high-quality briefs, procedures, and guidance materials related to system administration, ensuring they remain relevant and contemporary
* develop productive relationships across the division and department, using influencing skills to support project deliverables and manage stakeholder expectations
* represent the team at internal and external meetings, as required
* contribute to team capability development and continuous improvement initiatives
* escalate matters of concern or sensitive issues to the Director as appropriate
* provide support to the Director of System Support and Accounting
* undertaking other duties as required and directed.

* May be required to perform occasional out-of-hours and weekend work
What are we looking for
Knowledge and experience
* demonstrated experience in providing high-level system support and accounting services within a complex financial systems environment, preferably using TechnologyOne
* strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting processes, and system integration, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions
* proven ability to manage and maintain financial system interfaces, including troubleshooting, configuration, and enhancement of modules such as CiA
* experience in leading or contributing to system upgrades, testing cycles, and post-implementation support, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
* sound knowledge of data governance, system controls, and compliance requirements in a public sector or large organisational context
* ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across finance, IT, and operational teams to deliver system improvements and resolve issues
* proficiency in analysing system performance, identifying opportunities for automation, and implementing process efficiencies
* experience in preparing documentation, training materials, and providing user support to ensure consistent and effective system usage
* familiarity with change management principles and their application in system-related projects and initiatives.
