As IT Sports Technology Specialist, you will coordinate sports technology initiatives for Global IT with all our clubs and teams, such as Red Bull Soccer and Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, manage projects, and take on responsibility for central IT solutions. All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
1. You consult our clubs and teams on behalf of Global IT on sports technology topics, align their visions and needs, and work with them to develop IT roadmaps. You are well aware of the sports technology market and in constant dialogue with our partners.
2. You will be involved in technology projects and their selection and implementation and take on a leading role as IT project manager, if necessary. You will work with your colleagues to define specific requirements, evaluate suitable solutions and partners, define the project plan, and determine the necessary internal and external resources. Using the appropriate project management tools, you will structure projects and keep an eye on milestones, budget, and quality.
As the IT platform owner, you will also take on operational responsibility for central solutions, helping to shape the entire lifecycle of IT solutions. You will plan and implement a suitable application strategy, further develop the platforms, and ensure smooth operation.
3. You will manage external partners to implement projects and operate technology solutions, ensuring smooth collaboration between all relevant parties. You will also be responsible for planning and controlling the resources used, incl. budgets, licenses, etc.
4. You will foster a trusting relationship with all departments and act as an interface with other global IT departments for requirements, integrations, and sourcing decisions. You will also support and advise key stakeholders to ensure a high level of acceptance for the technical solutions.
5. Degree in computer science, sports technology, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
6. At least 4 years of professional experience in the IT department of a company/club—ideally in the application field or in a consulting firm.
7. Experience in sports technology (solutions such as Hudl, Teamworks, etc., market, trends).
8. Experience in IT project and service management
9. Basic knowledge of software development and architecture (especially SaaS/ Cloud)
10. Strong analytical and conceptual skills
11. Data engineering skills are an advantage
12. Collaborative and self-motivated personality
13. Structured way of working, strong communication skills, solution and goal-oriented, team player
14. Travel 0-10%
